JOB DETAIL
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring all relevant insurance claim cases are handled efficiently
- Ensuring insurance premiums paid
- Ensuring relevant insurance reports, analysis and records are completed on time and accurately
- Ensuring records/data of cases are stored, administrated, and/or filed
- Ensuring appropriate & continuation of valid insurance policies for BULL’s assets and its claim handling
- Assisting company in office cost control activities especially in relevant insurance GA expenditures
- Reporting claims/incidents to relevant parties (Insurance Broker, P&I Club, P&I Correspondent, and/or H&M Underwriters)
- Reviewing and analyzing cases
- Handing insurance claim process for both H&M and P&I related cases (crew cases, shortage cases, cargo cases and collision cases)
- Supervising the remittance process of premiums due
- Reviewing insurance policies’ clauses
- Providing insurance analysis and comparison
- Assisting Insurance Policy Holders for claims
- Sending declaration to Additional War Risk and Kidnap & Ransom Insurance subject to superior’s approval
- Preparing the annual insurance budget plan for his/her superior’s review
- Preparing insurance and claims summary database (policies’ general terms, validity and claims processes)
- Distributing original or copies of relevant Insurance Policies to relevant departments
- Inquiring and reviewing insurance rate quotation from insurance broker and/or insurance companies
- Advising the Insurance Jr. Manager on the result of insurance policies’ review (prior effecting the policies)
- Ensuring the premiums due for assets’ insurance are paid
- Ensuring the approved claim reimbursement from P&I Club and/or H&M Underwriters are paid
JOB QUALIFICATION
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master Degree in any major, preferably in Legal, Business Aministration
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Fluent in English both oral and written
- Required Knowledge and Skill(s): marine insurance experience, computer literate, general corporate law, marine insurance law
- Have achievement orientation, customer service orientation, continuous improvement, interpersonal relationship, able to analyze issue and use sound judgment, planning organizing, information seeking, orientation to detail, coordination, business process understanding, interpersonal persuasiveness ability, developing others, team leadership
